amp madness
A couple of months ago I put in an order for a custom guitar amp from a british company called matamp www.matamp.co.uk. I have been really happy with the way they operate and their customer service is excellent, they make beautiful amps and they are good value for money - perfect! Unfortunately I hit a bit of a bump in the final stage, it went down a bit like this…
Thursday * Call from amp company saying amp is ready and need to double check which of their logos to use - I decide and they say it will be able to be shipped either Friday or Monday
Saturday * I’ve moved house so I send an email to amp company with my new address.
Monday * Realise I gave the wrong post code so call matamp who have just sent the order off . They give me the consignment number and advise to contact the shipping company to get tthe address changed. * Call the shipping company who request I contact the local depot first thing in the morning.
Tuesday * Call the shipping company depot at 7am - they will not deal with me as their contract is with the deliverer not the reciever! * Have an exceedingly bad day at work checking the consignement reference online every 10 minutes with no update… (this brings me up to lunchtime as I write this post - I’ll update late hopefully a happier person with a brand new amp in my hands!)
